SEMESTER’S LONGEST BREAK

Days turned into weeks
It almost felt like burning of lamp wicks
Weeks turned into months
I thought I was surrounded by vaults

September came
We all thought it was another round of academic game
But our bubbles got busted
And our stress re-invested

Fulafia facebook forum
No decorum
Everyone tensed about school opening again
Afraid to make bargain

Very funny
Cause students become cunny
Complaining of lecture stress
And how they prefer to be in party dress

But now they yearn for just a look at Fulafia gates
To quench their tastes
They yearn for Fulafia to re-open
So that their homeless ‘butts’ can be free from the oven

Then came October
Our long awaited month to remember
So sure it was you
But never came true

Oh! November!!
We placed all our certainties, hopes and beliefs in your ember
But “INDEFINITE” became the news
But we are sure of a truce

And a truce came
How happy we all became
Fulafia ‘wahala’
Time to be muscular
